About the position
The Buyer position at TEKsystems involves managing purchasing activities for one of the largest distributors in the beauty and cosmetics sector. This full-time role offers opportunities for advancement and requires a proactive approach to sourcing and vendor management, particularly in international markets.
Responsibilities
- Analyze demand activity/patterns and planned inventory replenishment for both domestic and import items using SX system
- Prepare and process purchase orders and requisitions for materials, supplies, and equipment
- Review orders/items on purchase orders, Proforma Invoices, Commercial Invoices and Packing Lists to ensure accuracy
- Expedite items/orders to ensure on-time delivery and avoid backorders
- Track items/orders coming from overseas
- Work cross-functionally with warehouse, accounts payable, and credit departments on shortages, damages, and defectives to resolve with supplier for credits and returns
- Own all aspects of data for items ordered including initial item setup, managing MOQs, and pricing updates throughout the item life cycle.
Requirements
- 3 years of buyer/purchaser experience
- Experience sourcing vendors internationally
- Experience using ERP/MRP systems
- Experience handling negotiation.
