About the position

The Planner/Buyer position is a temporary role lasting 3-4 months, focused on managing inventory and coordinating material requirements in a manufacturing environment for a Fortune 500 client. The role involves ensuring accuracy in inventory transactions, monitoring inventory levels, and facilitating customer delivery and shipping requirements.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate inventory transactions to ensure accuracy
• Monitor inventory levels
• Coordinate customer delivery and shipping requirements
• Interact with purchasing department on requirements regarding material to meet customer orders
• Review and confirm promise dates for products and deliveries
• Coordinate with management to ensure on-time delivery of products to customers
• Plan and coordinate material requirements and release work orders to manufacturing
• Coordinate with manufacturing staff regarding customer order requirements
• Run reports from inventory data and verify inventory accuracy

Requirements

• Must have recent experience working in production planning in a manufacturing environment
• Must understand production control processes as it relates to purchasing, inventory transactions, and work orders
• Strong computer skills
• High school diploma required
• Associate or Bachelor Degree preferred, but not required
• Must pass background and drug screenings
