About the position

The Buyer will play a critical role in supporting the daily operations of the company through strategic procurement and inventory management. This position involves managing vendor relationships, overseeing inventory levels, and ensuring that supply chain operations align with production schedules and business goals, all while maintaining a commitment to customer service excellence.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain long-term vendor partnerships focused on collaboration, trust, and cost-effective solutions.
• Negotiate terms, resolve issues, and ensure timely delivery and quality assurance.
• Oversee inventory to meet production needs, manage safety stock levels, and monitor lead times to prevent stockouts or overstocking.
• Act as a key contact for internal and external teams to ensure timely procurement and inventory management, addressing quality or delivery issues to meet production schedules and customer satisfaction.
• Input and manage purchasing data in the MRP system, including lead times, costs, and part numbers.
• Generate reports on material status and inventory levels, ensuring system accuracy and optimal performance.
• Place and track purchase orders, adjust procurement strategies based on market trends, and continuously improve processes to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and ensure product quality.
• Stay updated on industry trends, participate in team initiatives, and perform other duties as needed to support procurement and company goals.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field preferred.
• Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to addressing challenges.
• Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
