About the position

The Buyer position at Rotork involves overseeing the upstream supply chain to ensure exceptional customer service and operational excellence. The role focuses on managing material and information flow from suppliers to the point of use, with a strong emphasis on supplier on-time delivery, process efficiencies, and inventory management.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for raw material and purchase part SKU parameterization, ensuring alignment with business requirements.
• Manage supplier master data within the ERP system.
• Escalate communication from suppliers regarding changes to agreements.
• Utilize inventory tools to ensure appropriate inventory availability.
• Ensure right-sizing of inventory for raw materials and purchased goods in transit.
• Measure and report supply base performance for on-time delivery, lead time, and order quantity.
• Build collaborative relationships with suppliers to meet supply chain requirements.
• Act as the first level of escalation for shortages and expedite resolution and recovery.
• Lead upstream supply chain performance improvement projects with suppliers, focusing on root cause countermeasures and action plans.
• Manage product portfolio, life cycle, and NPI process with suppliers to minimize supply disruptions and obsolete inventory.
• Develop the supply base using lean methodology to ensure compatibility with Rotork requirements and operational excellence.
• Support center-led sourcing team with supplier development activities.

Requirements

• Strong data analysis skills and expertise in ERP systems.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Experience and knowledge of manufacturing supply chain and Lean methodology.
• Strong inventory management skills.
