About the position

The Program Administrator 3 position at the Bureau of Workers' Compensation (BWC) involves overseeing and managing various investment-related activities, ensuring compliance with accounting policies, and serving as a liaison between the Investment Division and external investment managers. The role requires a blend of program management skills, analytical abilities, and effective communication to support the agency's mission of providing quality care and services to injured workers in Ohio.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare annual investment portfolio forecast and manage quarterly investment manager and vendor fee payments.
  • Support the completion of the Investment Division External Audit Report and execute BWC accounting policies.
  • Assist in managing program activities and developing policies related to compliance and performance reporting.
  • Develop processes for selecting investment managers and managing Requests for Proposals (RFPs).
  • Serve as a liaison with the Investment Committee and external investment managers, ensuring compliance with reporting requirements.
  • Gather and organize data for reports presented to the Investment Committee and respond to special information requests.
  • Assist with investment-related public record requests and prepare necessary correspondence.

Requirements

  • 5 years of training or experience in business administration, management, or public administration.
  • Completion of an undergraduate core program in business administration, management, or public administration with 3 years of supervisory or managerial experience.
  • 1 year of experience as Program Administrator 2, 63123.

Nice-to-haves

  • Knowledge of the institutional investment management industry.
  • Familiarity with custodian and record-keeping services.
  • Understanding of institutional product structures such as separate accounts and mutual funds.
  • Experience with contractual documentation for investment management and custodial services.
