Responsibilities

• Operate one or more pieces of production equipment.
• Perform food packaging duties for ham and/or by-product products.
• Check area for proper housekeeping and equipment safety before starting work.
• Communicate and coordinate with other employees to ensure uninterrupted product flow.
• Push trees and operate lowerator machine as trained.
• Stand for long periods and observe machines and conveyors.
• Lift, push, pull, or roll products weighing up to 40 pounds continuously.
• Rotate positions with other employees to prevent injuries.
• Complete hanging houses in a timely manner, aiming for one house per hour.
• Wear required personal protective equipment and follow safety protocols.
• Report mechanical issues to Supervisor and maintenance staff.
• Maintain cleanliness of equipment and work area during production runs.

Requirements

• No prior experience needed.
• Sufficient visual acuity to set up machinery and monitor operations.
• Manual dexterity to safely navigate automated equipment and make machine adjustments.
