About the position

The Manager of Supply Chain Solutions & Operations at Owens & Minor is responsible for leading the optimization of logistics operations and implementing technology solutions to enhance performance and productivity. This role involves assessing logistics technology needs, managing software applications, and ensuring effective inventory management and data collection to support client services.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for administration of logistics software solutions and applications
• Developing improved processes and optimization of operations within logistics operations
• Leveraging technology solutions for improved performance and productivity
• Processes and analyzes data files; includes file manipulation and understanding of product database
• Builds client/intra-company relationships and coordinates efforts with various teams
• Recommends priorities for future rollouts of technology features and equipment
• Manages testing for technology applications, coordinating with development team
• Oversees creation of documentation for User Guides and teammate trainings
• Contributes to Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs) or Requests for Proposals (RFPs)
• Oversees project plans for major projects including system updates and migrations
• Research industry trends and best practices to develop technology recommendations

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, Data Analytics, or Information Security
• 4 or more years of managing operations within a distribution center
• Experience utilizing different technology solutions such as warehouse management systems, shipping software, or transportation management systems

• Demonstrated understanding of supply chain management and consulting principles
• Demonstrated data analytics, planning, and organizational skills
• Analytical/PC skills: Excel, word processing, project planning, and graphics presentation software
