About the position

The C-130 Acquisition Program Manager at KBR is responsible for supporting the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center's Mobility and Training Aircraft Directorate. This full-time role involves managing various aspects of program documentation, technical analysis, and integration of program management functions to ensure successful project outcomes. The position requires assertiveness in capturing key inputs and data in a fast-paced environment, along with the ability to develop and implement strategies that meet program objectives within specified performance criteria.

Responsibilities

  • Develop program documentation to support Request for Proposal, Milestone Decisions, and Acquisition Strategy.
  • Provide technical analysis integration of program management aspects such as engineering, procurement, and financial management.
  • Ensure program requirements and statements of work are detailed for execution.
  • Develop requirements and Milestone documentation, providing technical writing expertise for deliverables.
  • Conduct analysis and draft source selection evaluation inputs in an advisory role.
  • Employ integration, communication, coordination, organizational, and planning expertise across functional disciplines.
  • Perform program management activities including gathering program information, conducting analyses, and developing strategies.
  • Analyze acquisition program planning, financial management, and documentation requirements.
  • Compile and review budgets against actual performance to control budgets and inform financial decisions.
  • Aid in developing strategies to achieve program objectives safely and within performance criteria.
  • Prepare budgets and schedules, performing financial analyses such as funding profiles and variance analysis.
  • Support the customer PM in executing their mission and ensuring effective program management.
  • Assist in creating and briefing higher-level executive agency acquisition reports.
  • Demonstrate advanced expertise in DoD, Agency, and industry standards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 5 years of experience in a relevant field, or 13 years of experience in lieu of formal education.
  • Familiarity with Department of the Air Force Instructions and DoD instructions.
  • A SECRET security clearance is required.

Nice-to-haves

  • Knowledge of current USAF weapon system management processes, policies, and procedures.
  • Experience with C-130 or similar fixed wing or military aircraft.
