About the position

The Software Developer at Accenture Federal Services plays a crucial role in maintaining and enhancing existing systems built in C# and Blazor. This position involves utilizing modern development tools and methodologies to support the US federal government in improving its technological capabilities. The developer will work collaboratively within a team to drive innovation and ensure the effective integration of applications with external services, contributing to the overall mission of making the nation stronger and safer.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain existing systems built in C# and Blazor.
  • Utilize Microsoft Visual Studio Code and Azure DevOps for CI/CD pipeline to support development, testing, and debugging of applications.
  • Provide Subject Matter Expertise, guidance, and overall technical direction for project development.
  • Develop and interact with SQL databases using Microsoft Entity Framework with a code-first approach.
  • Work with REST APIs to integrate web applications with external services.
  • Enhance the search functionality of the system using Elasticsearch.
  • Understand the DevOps process and build-test-release pipelines.
  • Participate or lead the technical design and documentation for solutions.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years in C# or similar object-oriented programming language.
  • Experience with HTML front-end development and building dynamic web applications, preferably with Blazor, Razor pages, or MVC.
  • Experience with SQL and specifically Entity Framework or similar object-relational mapping database frameworks.
  • Experience working with REST APIs.
  • Experience writing unit tests.
  • Familiarity with Git, Bitbucket, or a similar version control system.
  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Active Secret clearance requirement.

Nice-to-haves

  • Familiarity with Azure or similar cloud services.
  • Familiarity with agile methodologies and working in agile development teams.
  • Experience with Elasticsearch.
  • Experience with Cosmos DB or a similar NoSQL database.
  • Experience with SOAP web services.
