About the position

The C-I Faculty Development Manager at Louisiana State University is responsible for enhancing undergraduate Communication-Intensive (C-I) teaching and learning across various colleges. This role involves collaborating with academic leaders and faculty to develop strategic initiatives, deliver customized training programs, and support faculty in integrating C-I pedagogy into their courses. The position aims to improve student learning outcomes and advance the university's Quality Enhancement Plan.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Academic Deans, Associate Deans, and Department Chairs to embed C-I Courses in undergraduate curricula.
• Cultivate relationships with undergraduate teaching faculty to support C-I pedagogy integration.
• Design and deliver customized teacher training programs for faculty in M&DA, A&D, MC, and BUS.
• Provide individual consultations on course design and assessment for C-I teaching faculty.
• Collaborate with the CxC/Geaux Communicate Student Services & Support Team on co-curricular resources for C-I teaching and learning.
• Support broader campus-wide efforts to advance LSU's Quality Enhancement Plan.

Requirements

• Doctoral degree (Ph.D.) or other terminal degree (MFA, MBA, MPA) with relevant experience.
• 3 years of experience in teaching, training, consulting, or coaching with a Ph.D.; 5 years with other terminal degrees.
• Knowledge of pedagogical strategies that foster active learning and a student-centric mindset.
• Experience in multidisciplinary communication, particularly in the creative and professional disciplines.
• Demonstrated success in cultivating relationships and collaborating with diverse stakeholders.
• Ability to develop and deliver undergraduate C-I teaching content and training programs.
• Excellent written, spoken, visual, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Strong organizational, time management, and project management skills.
