About the position

The C# Application Developer at HCA Healthcare is responsible for developing, supporting, and maintaining database and web applications that support healthcare revenue cycle management. This role involves collaborating with business users to ascertain requirements, assisting in application design, and ensuring the applications meet defined needs. The developer will also participate in testing, documentation, and maintenance of applications, while providing technical guidance to users and resolving application issues as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, support, and maintain database and web applications for healthcare revenue cycle management.
  • Work with project teams to complete application development tasks according to project plans.
  • Assist in developing prototypes/models and determining data sources.
  • Follow technical and development standards when developing database and web components.
  • Create and execute application unit testing plans and document defects.
  • Coordinate system and user acceptance testing as appropriate.
  • Create and maintain application documentation.
  • Assist in analyzing and executing change requests and enhancements.
  • Resolve application issues and participate in on-call rotation schedule.
  • Develop application controls to mitigate operational and financial risks.
  • Act as a liaison between Development Solutions and business users.
  • Participate in application design sessions and provide technical guidance to users.
  • Perform application monitoring, maintenance, and enhancements as assigned.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of C# application development experience.
  • Experience with ASP.NET, Node, React, SQL, and cloud technologies is a plus.
  • 1 - 3 years of experience in business or systems analysis or systems development.
  • Thorough understanding of project lifecycles and SDLC processes.
  • Strong communication skills in various media.
  • Collaboration, facilitation, and negotiation skills.
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with healthcare revenue cycle management applications.
  • Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
