About the position

BAE Systems is seeking an Integration, Assembly, Test, and Checkout (IATC) Engineer. This role is primarily focused on the integration, assembly, testing, and checkout (IATC) of high-precision tracking radar systems and associated electronic disciplines. The engineer will work with both digital and analog signal processing, high power RF transmitters, receivers, antennas, and antenna positioning systems, as well as computers and computer interfaces. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and executing engineering processes for the integration, assembly, testing, and checkout of complex ground radar systems, RF transmitters, receivers, antennas, and antenna positioning systems. The engineer will prepare test plans, procedures, and reports, and will be required to travel to vendor sites to participate in test planning and witness testing. Effective communication between assigned engineers and all other participants in the integration and testing process is crucial. The engineer will also perform post-test execution analysis to verify and validate hardware/software functionality, documenting and providing test procedure results. Additionally, the role involves traveling to the final installation location to participate in system integration testing, reporting directly to the integration and test lead.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and execute engineering processes for integration, assembly, test, and checkout of complex ground radar systems.
  • Prepare test plans, procedures, and reports.
  • Travel to vendor sites to participate in test planning and witness testing.
  • Work with the prime contractor to resolve system defects or deficiencies.
  • Ensure effective communication between assigned engineers and all other participants in the integration and testing process.
  • Perform post-test execution analysis to verify and validate hardware/software functionality and document test procedure results.
  • Travel to final installation location to participate in system integration testing.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree and 9 years of experience OR Master's Degree and 7 years of experience OR PhD and 4 years of experience.
  • Experience with analog, digital, and RF interfaces and associated test equipment including Spectrum Analyzer, Protocol Analyzer, LAN Analyzer, Network Analyzer.
  • Hands-on experience with hardware/software integration.
  • Experience preparing defect/deficiency reports.
  • Hands-on experience with hardware installation and integration.
  • Ability to travel is required.
  • Active Top Secret level clearance is required.
