About the position

The C5ISR Manager of Contracts & Program Management at ADS, Inc. is responsible for leading a team that supports customers' pre and post-order needs, driving sales and company growth, and improving organizational processes. This role involves developing relationships with government customers and industry partners, creatively addressing customer problems, and advocating throughout the acquisition lifecycle. The position includes leadership and management responsibilities, overseeing both Inside Sales personnel and Program Managers, and requires a proactive approach to sales and post-order execution.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, manage, and develop 5 - 7 direct reports.
  • Provide clear expectations for performance, measure, review, and document activity.
  • Set quarterly goals for team members and conduct 1-on-1 reviews.
  • Run and plan effective and consistent weekly team meetings.
  • Provide daily on-the-job training to team members and ensure training plans are executed.
  • Execute development plans and training for team members, focusing on both strengths and weaknesses.
  • Maintain situational awareness relative to market, including products, suppliers, competitors, and contracts.
  • Ensure high standards of customer service by following up on customer issues and complaints.
  • Lead the SEWP V Contract Management group, developing systems that align with ADS sales processes.
  • Manage sales pipeline and forecast revenue, collaborating with fellow Managers and Sales Leaders.
  • Engage in deal strategy for all major deals and track win/loss history.
  • Lead the C5ISR Program Management group, developing systems and success metrics for Program Managers.
  • Directly interface with subcontractors and/or U.S. Government on contractual issues, hosting kick-off meetings and program reviews as needed.
  • Analyze and provide risk mitigation techniques to prevent supply chain disruption.
  • Manage Integrated Master Schedules to avoid unforeseen technical/contractual issues.
  • Resolve customer disputes or discrepancies in a timely manner.
  • Work with Program Finance to forecast and track invoices through to payment.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of business development experience with a track record of capture and program management.
  • 5+ years of experience with US Government contracting and acquisition.
  • Broad understanding of DoD programmatic customers, operations, and requirements.
  • Strong understanding of government acquisition and contract vehicles.
  • Excellent listening, communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to communicate complex ideas to a diverse audience.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred; equivalent experience may be acceptable.

Nice-to-haves

  • Prior experience in a management or leadership role is preferred.
  • PMP accreditation is a plus.
