About the position

The C5ISR Systems Acquisition Subject Matter Expert (SME) at DCS Corp provides systems engineering and subject matter expertise services to support Department of Defense (DoD) acquisition programs. This role focuses on the development, coordination, management, and execution of programs related to C5ISR technologies and capabilities throughout various life cycle phases. The SME will work closely with project management offices to evaluate and synchronize program acquisition schedules, integration costs, and other requirements, ensuring effective communication and collaboration across multiple stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate and synchronize program acquisition schedules and integration costs for Army and Marine Corps network development.
  • Develop requirements analysis, trade-off studies, system engineering plans, and risk management activities.
  • Provide systems engineering advice and develop architecture design models and related documentation.
  • Document performance specifications and provide design recommendations based on DoD and industry standards.
  • Facilitate problem identification and resolution by realigning resources and schedules.
  • Conduct engineering analysis, performance measurements, and technical reviews in support of hardware/software integration of C5ISR systems.
  • Generate and coordinate network milestone documentation in support of PEO GCS organizations.
  • Provide subject matter expertise during Government development of performance and technical requirements, scopes of work, and systems engineering plans.
  • Support C5ISR testing and ensure end-to-end program integration of the communications network.
  • Prepare and deliver high-level briefings and presentation materials as necessary.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering.
  • Minimum of 12 years total experience, with at least 10 years in Programmatic, Financial, or Technical support of complex systems.
  • Experience working with GVSC, PEO CS&CSS, PEO C3T, or related PM offices within the Army Materiel Command.
  • Understanding of the DoD acquisition process and working knowledge of C5ISR technologies.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and strong interpersonal abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project.

Nice-to-haves

  • Electrical, computer, and/or systems engineering experience on DoD ground combat vehicles.
  • Experience with in-vehicle data networks.
