About the position

The C5ISR Systems Acquisition Subject Matter Expert (SME) will provide systems engineering and subject matter expertise services to support Department of Defense (DoD) acquisition programs. This role focuses on the development, coordination, management, and execution of programs throughout multiple life cycle phases, particularly emphasizing C5ISR technologies and capabilities. The SME will work closely with various project management offices to evaluate and synchronize program acquisition schedules and integration costs, ensuring effective support for Army and Marine Corps network development.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate and synchronize program acquisition schedules and integration costs for Army and Marine Corps network development.
  • Develop requirements analysis, trade-off studies, and system engineering plans.
  • Conduct risk management activities and performance measurements.
  • Provide systems engineering advice and develop architecture design models.
  • Document performance specifications and provide design recommendations based on DoD standards.
  • Facilitate problem identification and resolution by realigning resources and schedules.
  • Conduct engineering analysis and evaluations of design concepts and trade-off studies.
  • Support hardware/software integration of C5ISR systems onto PEO GCS platforms.
  • Generate and coordinate network milestone documentation in support of PEO GCS organizations.
  • Provide subject matter expertise during Government development of performance and technical requirements.

Requirements

  • U.S. Citizenship is required due to the sensitivity of customer-related requirements.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering with a minimum of 12 years total experience.
  • Minimum of 10 years experience in Programmatic, Financial, or Technical support of complex systems.
  • Experience working with GVSC, PEO CS&CSS, PEO C3T, or related PM offices within the Army Materiel Command.
  • Understanding of the DoD acquisition process and working knowledge of C5ISR and Vetronics.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and strong interpersonal abilities.
  • Proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project.

Nice-to-haves

  • Electrical, computer, and/or systems engineering experience on DoD ground combat vehicles.
  • Experience with in-vehicle data networks.
