About the position
Wells Fargo is seeking a CA-WA Mortgage Retail Sales Consultant (SAFE) in Consumer Lending as part of Home Lending. This role involves soliciting residential mortgages, producing high-quality loans, and providing excellent customer service while building relationships with various stakeholders in the mortgage industry. The consultant will also stay informed about market trends and ensure compliance with mortgage regulations.
Responsibilities
- Solicit residential mortgages from various sources.
- Produce high-quality loans that are compliant and provide excellent customer service.
- Build relationships with realtors, builders, financial professionals, and past customers.
- Develop and maintain visibility for Wells Fargo Home Mortgage in the marketplace.
- Present recommendations for producing loans and adhere to policies and compliance requirements.
- Understand real estate appraisals, title reports, and transactions.
- Receive customer applications, quote rates, and complete follow-up activities.
- Analyze and offer mortgage loan products based on client needs.
- Inform customers of Wells Fargo Home Mortgage programs and maintain high client satisfaction.
- Pursue training offerings to increase knowledge of company products and underwriting requirements.
Requirements
- 2+ years of Mortgage Retail Sales experience or equivalent work experience, training, military experience, or education.
- Basic Microsoft Office skills.
- Documented retail residential mortgage fundings over the past 12 months from established sources.
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Mortgage industry experience.
- Knowledge of sales prospecting and generating referrals.
- Customer service experience.
