About the position
Wells Fargo is seeking a CA-WA Mortgage Retail Sales Consultant (SAFE) in Consumer Lending as part of Home Lending. This role focuses on soliciting residential mortgages, producing high-quality loans, and providing excellent customer service. The consultant will analyze mortgage options based on client needs, negotiate loan terms, and ensure compliance with regulations while fostering strong customer relationships.
Responsibilities
- Solicit residential mortgages from various sources and produce high-quality loans that are compliant.
- Offer loans, negotiate terms, and take applications for dwelling secured transactions.
- Analyze mortgage loans based on client needs to ensure compliance and customer satisfaction.
- Present recommendations for producing loans and exercise independent judgment in understanding functional areas and compliance requirements.
- Provide information regarding loans to consultants and functional colleagues.
- Interact with customers to understand their needs and provide high-quality loan services.
Requirements
- 2+ years of Mortgage Retail Sales experience or equivalent through work experience, training, military experience, or education.
- Basic Microsoft Office skills.
- Documented retail residential mortgage fundings over the past 12 months from established, local, external sources.
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Mortgage industry experience.
- Knowledge and understanding of sales prospecting and generating referrals.
- Experience developing and cultivating professional relationships.
- Customer service experience.
