About the position

The Cabana Server at Great Wolf is responsible for providing excellent service to guests by taking food and beverage orders, serving items, and handling transactions. This role emphasizes positive interactions with guests and requires a friendly demeanor while ensuring that patrons have a pleasant dining experience.

Responsibilities

• Help patrons select food and beverages by presenting the menu and offering suggestions.
• Transmit orders to the bar and kitchen by recording patrons' choices and special dietary needs.
• Keep kitchen staff informed about the timing of meal progression.
• Serve orders by picking up and delivering patrons' choices from the bar and kitchen.
• Respond to additional patron requirements by observing dining processes and inquiring about needs.
• Maintain table settings by removing completed courses and replenishing utensils.
• Obtain revenues by totaling charges, issuing bills, and accepting payments.
• Protect the establishment and patrons by adhering to sanitation, safety, and alcohol beverage control policies.

Requirements

• Some High School education or equivalent.
• Basic mathematical skills for cash handling.
• Flexibility regarding scheduling based on business demands, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Successful completion of a criminal background check and drug screen.

Nice-to-haves

• Previous server experience.
• Prior experience with Point-of-Sale (POS) technology.
• Proven teamwork skills.
