About the position

We are seeking a skilled Cabinet Maker to join our team at Hastings USA LLC. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in woodworking and a passion for creating high-quality cabinetry. This role involves interpreting design specifications, utilizing various tools and machinery, and ensuring that all products meet our high standards of craftsmanship. The Cabinet Maker will work closely with designers and other team members to bring projects to life while adhering to timelines and quality expectations.

Responsibilities

• Interpret blueprints and schematics to create custom cabinetry designs.
• Utilize CNC machines, calipers, micrometers, and other tools to cut, shape, and assemble wood components.
• Fully understand vCarve and see a project through from start to finish as well as assembly.
• Apply GD&T principles to ensure precision in measurements and fit.
• Collaborate with team members to optimize production processes through lean manufacturing techniques.
• Perform quality checks throughout the production process to maintain high standards.
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
• Troubleshoot any issues that arise during the cabinet-making process and implement effective solutions.

Requirements

• Proficiency in vCarve for design interpretation and modification.
• Strong mechanical knowledge related to woodworking machinery and tools.
• Familiarity with machining processes relevant to cabinet making.
• Ability to read and understand technical schematics.
• Excellent math skills for precise measurements and calculations.
• Experience with GD&T principles for accurate component fitting.
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing practices to enhance efficiency in production.
