About the position

The Cabinet Sales and Design Professional at The World Famous Carpet Barn is responsible for providing exceptional customer service and design solutions to clients. This role involves engaging with customers, understanding their needs, and delivering tailored design services while ensuring satisfaction throughout the buying process.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist customers in the buying process
• Return calls promptly and manage customer inquiries
• Arrive at appointments with customers on time
• Create a 'Needs Analysis' form for all customers
• Generate clear and precise work orders for every job
• Take accurate measurements for design projects
• Follow up with customers to ensure all their questions are answered
• Attend regular company-sponsored training sessions on selling strategies
• Coordinate with installers or scheduler for project execution
• Manage sample check-outs and maintain inventory
• Work with manager to set sales goals and strive to meet them through client retention
• Obtain necessary information to create accurate and timely estimates for clients
• Create documents for customer presentations

Requirements

• Customer service experience
• Basic electrical and plumbing knowledge is a plus
• Effective communication skills
• Ability to perform work accurately and thoroughly
• Ability to find solutions for or to deal proactively with work-related problems
• Exceptional customer service skills
• Ability to multitask and manage time effectively
• Ability to read and understand a tape measure
