About the position
The position involves designing cables and harnesses for military aviation applications, utilizing CAD systems like Creo Schematic and Creo Parametric. The role requires collaboration in a team environment and the ability to manage multiple tasks while adhering to military specifications and industry standards.
Responsibilities
- Design cables and harnesses for military applications, focusing on aviation.
- Prepare electro/mechanical design layouts, electrical diagrams, and assembly drawings using CAD systems.
- Develop technical data packages (TDP) including electrical/mechanical packaging and harnessing.
- Participate in technical meetings and communicate effectively with internal and external teams.
- Manage multiple tasks and ensure attention to detail in design and documentation.
- Identify and correct design errors and recommend improvements.
Requirements
- Experience with Creo Schematic and Creo Parametric with Cabling.
- Experience using PTC Windchill.
- Wiring experience in aerospace and/or military applications.
- Electrical design knowledge related to aircraft wiring systems.
- Cable/harness design experience focusing on AS5088-1 standards.
- Knowledge of IPC WHMA-620 manufacturing methods for cable/harnesses.
- Technical knowledge of documentation specifications such as MIL-STD-31000 and ASME standards.
- Robust working knowledge of Microsoft Office tools.
- Effective oral and written communication skills.
Nice-to-haves
- Ability to obtain secret clearance.
- Hands-on engineering skills and installation experience of cables/harnesses on military or civilian platforms.
