About the position
As a Cable Installer for Spectrum, you will be responsible for installing cable television, internet, WiFi, and phone services in the Greater Hammond, LA area and surrounding locations. This position is contracted and operates on a piece-rate pay scale, allowing for earnings of up to $1,800 per week, with average technicians earning between $800 and $1,400 weekly. The role requires a commitment to customer service excellence and the ability to work with hand tools effectively. Training will be provided for up to three weeks, making this position accessible even to those without prior experience in telecommunications. You will be expected to pass a background check and undergo drug screening as part of the hiring process. The job involves working outdoors in various weather conditions and requires the ability to perform tasks from a 28-foot ladder. The company offers a truck lease program and tool assistance to help you get started. The work schedule includes both 8-hour and 10-hour shifts, with weekends required as needed.
