About the position
Anistar Technologies is seeking an experienced Cable Technician to assist with the installation, termination, and testing of various types of voice and data cables, as well as security and access control equipment. The role requires working in both new construction and existing commercial environments, with a focus on structured cabling systems.
Responsibilities
- Pulling and routing CAT5 or CAT6 cable in commercial environments
- Pulling fiber optic cables
- Installing CCTV cameras
- Terminating data jacks
- Installing support structures such as ladder racks, D-rings, and j-hooks
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience installing and servicing voice and data systems in a commercial environment
- Ownership of basic telecom tools including punch down tools, snips, wire strippers, cordless drill, hard hat, boots, and safety glasses
- Familiarity with BICSI, EIA, TIA, or NEC standards
