Cable Technician

About the position

The Cable Technician position involves working as an Ariel drop technician, focusing on the installation and maintenance of cable drops in Baton Rouge, LA. This role is primarily non-customer facing and requires technicians to work outdoors, ensuring that cable drops are properly hung, repaired, or reconnected as needed. The position offers competitive pay and requires technicians to have their own transportation and tools.

Responsibilities

• Rehang downed Ariel drops
• Repair broken drops
• Reconnect disconnected drops
• Update progress through PD or JOT forms
• Work independently on the road

Requirements

• Must have a valid Driver's License
• Experience in cabling, satellite, home security, or telecommunications
• Ability to operate hand tools
• Must have own van or truck capable of carrying a 28' ladder
• Entry-level experience acceptable

Benefits

• $100 per diem per truck
• Highest rate in the market
