About the position
The Cabling Installer I position is an entry-level role focused on assisting in the installation and implementation of structured cabling solutions. The role involves working closely with more experienced technicians to ensure quality standards are met while providing a positive customer experience.
Responsibilities
- Pulling and installing new Cat 5E/ Cat 6 cable.
- Climbing up and down ladders at various heights.
- Installing cable pathways and raceways.
- Using basic hand tools and power tools.
- Maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
- Installing proper cable sleeves and chases.
- Taking direction from Lead Technician.
- Learning the basics between different types of cabling.
- Terminating Cat 5E/ Cat 6 cable properly.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- BICSI Fundamentals (can be completed within 90 days of hire).
- Valid Driver's License.
Nice-to-haves
- Construction and/or Electrical field experience.
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
