About the position

The CAD/CAM Dental Designer position at YG Dental Technique Inc. involves designing fixed and removable dental restorations using 3Shape Exocad software. The role requires a blend of technical expertise in dental design and management of the CAD/CAM department to ensure high-quality output and efficiency. The designer will be responsible for overseeing the entire design process, from interpreting doctors' prescriptions to managing the printing and milling of restorations.

Responsibilities

• Lead, manage, and ensure accountability within the CAD/CAM Department for consistency, productivity, efficiency, and quality control.
• Perform design restorations, copings, abutments, and full contour crowns/bridges.
• Read and follow doctors' prescriptions and preferences for restorations.
• Oversee the printing and milling of designed restorations.
• Plan and design complex restorations, with a preference for All-on-4/6.
• Integrate and provide digital solutions for Fixed and Removable Departments.
• Communicate professionally and timely with co-workers.

Requirements

• Advanced dental knowledge of restoration design including shape, contacts, occlusion, and other dental factors like anatomy, morphology, and function.
• Diagnostic wax-up or ceramist experience highly preferred.
• Advanced knowledge of the laboratory production process.
• Advanced knowledge of CAD CAM dental systems.
• Advanced knowledge of laboratory procedures and techniques.
• Detail-oriented with critical thinking skills.
• Problem-solving and analytical skills; well-balanced personality and professional attitude.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with 3Shape software and natural tooth morphology, function, and occlusion.
• Experience in fabrication and laboratory procedures.
