About the position

The CAD Design Lead will oversee and manage a team of CAD designers and drafters in a global manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for ensuring the accuracy and compliance of product designs, leading the documentation and design processes, and supporting various departments in new product development. The position offers a hybrid work model, allowing for flexibility in remote work.

Responsibilities

• Lead, direct, and train CAD Team, including designers and drafters.
• Manage the documentation and design process for new products, ensuring designs are accurate and compliant.
• Create detailed assembly and component drawings using 3D CAD software.
• Perform validation and quality assurance functions to ensure final product meets design specifications and functions correctly.
• Carry out Engineering Change Requests and maintain accurate PLM system data.
• Support other departments and assist with new product design and prototype development.
• Other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements

• Associate's degree (Bachelor's preferred).
• 3+ years of relevant experience, including 2+ years in a supervisory role.
• Proficiency in 2D and 3D CAD (SolidWorks), SAP, ERP, and MRP systems.
• Strong technical and mathematical skills.
