About the position

The CAD Designer (Architectural & Building Services) position is focused on initiating and developing practical, cost-effective, and fully functional designs and design drawings for various architectural and building service projects. The role involves collaborating with other disciplines to ensure the successful completion of design projects, utilizing design software, and adhering to established practices and standards.

Responsibilities

• Develop complex design drawings for architectural projects.
• Apply a solid understanding of architectural discipline and related codes and permits.
• Prepare design drawings using project specifications and discipline instructions.
• Review vendor documents for accuracy and compliance with project requirements.
• Coordinate work with other disciplines and ensure compliance with project schedules and controls.
• Perform material take-offs and understand cost estimating methods.
• Provide technical guidance to less experienced design personnel.

Requirements

• Completion of trade or technical school program or equivalent experience.
• For Designer I: At least 6 years of relevant experience.
• For Designer II: At least 4 years of relevant experience.
• For Designer III: At least 2 years of relevant experience.

Nice-to-haves

• Basic knowledge of project change control processes.
• Experience in providing technical guidance to other design personnel.
