About the position

The CAD Designer position involves collaborating with customers and project managers to create detailed technical drawings and designs for various projects. The role emphasizes quality control and compliance with industry standards, requiring proficiency in CAD software and effective communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Work with customers and owner to design completed projects
• Collaborate with project managers to develop a drafting and review process
• Use CAD design software to create initial workups and technical drawings based on concepts and specifications
• Create custom components for clients' homes
• Review all designs prior to submission to ensure quality control and industry compliance
• Incorporate feedback and revise CAD drawings as necessary

Requirements

• Previous experience preparing CAD drawings
• Familiarity with AutoCAD and other CAD software like Revit, SolidWorks, and Autodesk
• Excellent communication skills
• Leadership skills a plus
• Experience reading and understanding drawings
• Excellent time management skills and the ability to meet deadlines
