About the position

The CAD Designer/Drafter position at ONYX Services involves creating detailed survey drawings and design documents using AutoCAD Civil 3D. This full-time role is essential for supporting the engineering team in various civil and geotechnical projects, ensuring that all designs meet client specifications and industry standards.

Responsibilities

• Develop detailed survey drawings including pipeline alignments, land boundaries, and topographic contour maps.
• Use AutoCAD Civil 3D to prepare design drawings with plan, profile, section, and detail views as designated by the engineering team.
• Apply knowledge of civil engineering principles, practices, and construction specifications.
• Complete job summaries and construction notes for review by project engineers.
• Communicate closely with field techs and supervisors to interpret notes and sketches.
• Manage multiple projects and tasks while maintaining efficiency and quality of work.
• Ensure design drawings are clear, concise, and organized to meet client codes and standards.
• Work effectively in a team environment and demonstrate problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
• Keep project managers informed of progress and potential obstacles.

Requirements

• 1 year of experience with AutoCAD (Required).
• Proficient use of MS Outlook, AutoCAD Civil 3D, MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Attention to detail and precision in work.
• Ability to work on multiple projects efficiently.

Nice-to-haves

• Plan/Profile and Land Development experience is a PLUS.
