About the position

We are seeking a skilled CAD Technician to join our dynamic team in the Pontiac area. The ideal candidate will be proficient in various CAD software and possess a strong understanding of mechanical design principles. As a CAD Technician, you will play a crucial role in the development and execution of detailed drawings and schematics, contributing to innovative projects across multiple disciplines.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute detailed drawings and schematics using CAD software.
• Measure and draw parts, ensuring understanding of measuring tools for dimensional tolerances.
• Manage the Preventative Maintenance Program, including PM schedules, work orders, and data reporting.
• Organize and input data related to projects.

Requirements

• Proficiency in various CAD software, particularly 2D CAD work.
• Strong understanding of mechanical design principles.
• Experience in schematics and CNC background is preferred.
• Ability to measure and draw parts accurately.

Nice-to-haves

• Valid CAD Certification
• Experience with dimensional tolerances such as +/- .5 inch or 1,000 in tolerance.
• Computer savvy with data management skills.
