CAD Designer/Drafter

About the position

Clearview Land Design is seeking a motivated and experienced CAD Designer to support Civil Engineers in drafting and designing various civil engineering infrastructure plans, including grading, utility, and roadway plans. The role requires a strong understanding of land development and municipal codes, as well as proficiency in AutoCAD and Civil 3D. This position offers the opportunity to work with a dedicated team of professionals in a dynamic environment focused on delivering high-quality engineering services in Tampa Bay.

Responsibilities

• Support Civil Engineers in designing and drafting Grading Plans, Utility Plans, Roadway Plans and Profiles, Cross Sections, and general Civil Engineering/Infrastructure Plans.
• Draft stormwater, roadway, paving, grading, and utility infrastructure plans.
• Ensure compliance with State and Local City/County Development Codes.
• Collaborate with team members to meet project deadlines and deliverables.
• Maintain a high standard of work quality and attention to detail.

Requirements

• 5+ years of relevant land development experience.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD 2016 or newer; experience with Civil 3D is a plus.
• Strong understanding of land development site layouts, grading & stormwater design, utility design, and roadway plan & profiles.
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
• Outstanding organizational skills and a strong sense of urgency.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with industry-accepted software for civil engineering.
• Knowledge of State, City, and County Development Codes in the greater Tampa Bay area.
