About the position

Our client, a leading company in the aerospace industry, is seeking a CAD Designer/Drafter to join their team. As a CAD Designer/Drafter, you will be part of a collaborative engineering team, supporting the development of cutting-edge aerospace products. The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving skills, meticulous attention to detail, and a solid understanding of industry standards, which will align successfully in the organization. In this role, you will create detailed CAD designs and technical drawings for aerospace products, ensuring adherence to project specifications and ASME Y14 standards. You will collaborate with engineering teams to develop innovative solutions and optimize design performance. Conducting design reviews and providing feedback to enhance design quality and efficiency will be key responsibilities. Additionally, you will generate accurate technical drawings, schematics, and documentation for manufacturing and assembly processes, supporting product development from concept to production by working closely with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

  • Create detailed CAD designs and technical drawings for aerospace products, ensuring adherence to project specifications and ASME Y14 standards.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to develop innovative solutions and optimize design performance.
  • Conduct design reviews and provide feedback to enhance design quality and efficiency.
  • Generate accurate technical drawings, schematics, and documentation for manufacturing and assembly processes.
  • Support product development from concept to production by working closely with cross-functional teams.

Requirements

  • Associate's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Drafting Technology, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in CAD design and drafting, with at least 6000 hours of hands-on experience in AutoCAD 2D.
  • Strong knowledge of ASME Y14 standards.
  • Familiarity with AS9100 aerospace quality management systems (preferred).
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite and document management portals.
