About the position

The CAD Designer/Drawer role focuses on designing conveyor systems for wash-down and food-safe environments. The position requires a dynamic individual who can adapt quickly to changes and communicate effectively with team members and vendors. The role involves creating detailed drawings and collaborating closely with the manufacturing team to ensure successful project execution.

Responsibilities

• Design conveyors for wash-down/food-safe environments based on components and parameters.
• Create platforms and stairways adhering to OSHA and customer specifications.
• Develop layout drawings for projects being quoted.
• Generate detailed drawing packages for the manufacture of conveyors.
• Review and discuss designs with the management team, implementing necessary changes.
• Adapt quickly to changes in design and project scope.
• Collaborate with vendors to quote and order manufactured parts.
• Work closely with the manufacturing team during the build phase to address issues and provide support.

Requirements

• Proficient in AutoCAD.
• Degree (Associates or Bachelors) or equivalent experience in drawing and drafting.
• Experience with the design and manufacture of belt-style conveyor systems.
• Familiarity with sheet metal processes, including flat patterns and press brake requirements.
• Ability to work efficiently with short timelines.
• Excellent verbal communication skills for discussing design requirements and conveying ideas.
