About the position

As a CAD Designer at CBRE, you will be responsible for designing and preparing electronic working plans, maps, and drawings for small to medium-scale projects. This hybrid role requires approximately three days onsite in King of Prussia, Pennsylvania, and two days of remote work, allowing for flexibility while contributing to impactful design solutions in the life sciences and pharmaceutical sectors.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare prints of various original plans and records for internal and external agency use.
  • Review updated drawings for changes using computer-aided drafting techniques.
  • Gather data to complete drawings by visiting the site directly and conducting surveys of space.
  • Prepare detailed reports based on site surveys.
  • Assist with the development of maps and drawings that are spatially accurate and technically correct.
  • Act as the point of contact for internal and external partners to acquire project details, including equipment, materials, and codes.
  • Collect on-site information and input it into a database to maintain current building conditions and data.
  • Model behaviors consistent with CBRE RISE values and impact the quality of own work.
  • Work within standardized procedures and practices to achieve objectives and meet deadlines.
  • Exchange straightforward information, ask questions, and check for understanding.

Requirements

  • Associate's Degree preferred with up to 3 years of relevant experience; a combination of experience and education will be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • AutoCAD 2018 or newer version required.
  • Knowledge of CAD standards 'AIA & ISA' preferred.
  • Understanding of Arch/MEP drawings and systems preferred.
  • General Revit knowledge is nice to have but not required.
  • Ability to use existing procedures to solve standard problems.
  • Experience with analyzing information and standard practices to make judgments.
  • In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Organizational skills with a strong inquisitive mentality.

Nice-to-haves

  • General Revit knowledge.
