About the position

Ardurra is seeking an experienced Senior CAD Designer to join their San Antonio, TX team. This senior-level position involves performing moderately-difficult to difficult design assignments that require advanced design techniques in accordance with company and industry standards. The role includes mentoring junior staff and maintaining a strong understanding of civil engineering basics while utilizing software systems like MicroStation and Bentley products.

Responsibilities

• Perform design assignments with minimal guidance using advanced design techniques.
• Utilize MicroStation and Bentley support products such as Geopak or OpenRoads.
• Adhere to industry CAD standards and maintain accuracy in drawings.
• Mentor and train engineering interns and other design staff.
• Prepare preliminary and final drawings, plans, profiles, and exhibits from engineering sketches and specifications.
• Assist Engineers with collecting field data for design drawings.
• Maintain production schedules and ensure accuracy of drawings.
• Communicate effectively with team members and maintain project documentation.
• Research and apply published CADD and Design standards to work assignments.

Requirements

• 5+ years of related experience in a civil engineering environment (Roadway, Drainage, Water Wastewater Improvements).
• Experience with MicroStation and Bentley support products such as Geopak or OpenRoads.
• High School Diploma or GED; Associate's degree is desirable.
