About the position

The CAD Designer - Site Development role is a lead technical support position based in Fort Worth, TX, responsible for designing civil infrastructure and site improvements. The designer will work under the supervision of a professional engineer, utilizing established CAD standards to prepare construction plan drawings and ensure project goals are met within budget and timelines.

Responsibilities

• Independently design civil infrastructure and site improvements using established CAD standards and design criteria.
• Prepare construction plan drawings based on design under the direction of a professional engineer.
• Organize and schedule work to accomplish project goals within established budgets and timelines.
• Coordinate with engineers and other design team members.
• Plot and assemble construction plans, exhibits, specifications, etc.
• Assist in the oversight of CAD systems and standards.

Requirements

• High School graduate or GED required.
• Post High School technical coursework, certification or degree in computer drafting/design or related field.
• Minimum ten (10) years of civil CAD experience on a variety of projects preferred.
• Mastery of AutoCAD Civil 3D, as well as Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Demonstrated experience in actual design of water, sewer, streets, grading and drainage projects.
• Demonstrated ability to develop solid working relationships with other team members.
• Ability to quickly adapt to and adopt new CAD standards and procedures.
• Commitment to quality in the design and presentation of drawings.
