About the position

The CAD Designer position involves creating and editing designs for parts and products within a family-owned automotive business. The role requires proficiency in AutoCAD and AutoCAD Inventor, along with collaboration with fabricators and welders to document design changes. This is a full-time position with a focus on mechanical design and drafting.

Responsibilities

• Create designs and edit existing designs for parts & products
• Create bill of materials for designs
• Work with fabricators and welders to document changes they make to designs

Requirements

• Proficient in AutoCAD and AutoCAD Inventor
• Minimum of 1-year experience as a drafter/designer
• Proficient with Microsoft Office products
• Able to use measuring tools such as calipers and micrometers
• Able to take direction from company owner and lead drafter

Nice-to-haves

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Mechanical Design/Drafting
• Associate's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Mechanical Design/Drafting
• Past experience in a fabrication environment within the automotive industry
