About the position

A CAD Designer is needed by a growing manufacturer in Connecticut. This position requires candidates to have experience with Solidworks, Via-Cad, or similar design software. The ideal candidate should possess a manufacturing background and must be able to effectively communicate design concepts to the manufacturing team. Additionally, the candidate should have the capability to convert 3D models or concepts into 2D patterns. This is a long-term contract position that offers relocation assistance, salary, and benefits.

Responsibilities

• Creating and editing technical drawings as well as annotating designs.
• Building 2D assembly drawings from photographs, cutsheets, and/or 3D models.
• Providing guidance to the manufacturing department in the production of designs.
• Interacting with customers and field support technicians to provide best-in-class designs.

Requirements

• Minimum of 4 years of experience in CAD design.
• High School diploma or equivalent education.
• Proficiency in Solidworks or similar CAD software.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with AutoCAD.
• Ability to explain design concepts clearly to non-technical team members.
