About the position

Trillium Construction is seeking a CAD Designer to join their team in Denmark, WI. This full-time office position involves utilizing CAD software to create detailed construction drawings and models for commercial concrete projects. The role requires collaboration with various teams to ensure accurate and compliant designs, making it essential for the candidate to have strong technical skills and a willingness to engage in team efforts.

Responsibilities

• Utilize CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit) to create precise and detailed construction drawings, plans, and models.
• Develop 2D and 3D drawings that accurately reflect project requirements, specifications, and design intent.
• Collaborate closely with the Sales and Estimating team to understand project scope and requirements.
• Prepare accurate quantity takeoffs and material lists based on the construction drawings.
• Review and revise drawings based on internal and external feedback and markups.
• Ensure that all drawings are up-to-date with the latest changes and revisions.
• Coordinate with the Estimator to incorporate changes into the cost estimation process.
• Work with other internal teams to obtain necessary information for drawing creation and revision.
• Communicate effectively with project stakeholders to resolve questions and design-related issues.
• Collaborate with subcontractors and suppliers to gather relevant design information and integrate it into the drawings.
• Conduct thorough checks and reviews of construction drawings to ensure accuracy and adherence to standards.
• Ensure compliance with project specifications, building codes, and regulatory requirements.
• Identify and resolve any design conflicts or discrepancies.
• Participate in pre-bid meetings, site visits, and other project-related discussions as required.

Requirements

• Autocad and Revit experience is a must.
• Background in concrete is a plus.
• Must be willing to work outside JD and help out where it is needed.
• Must be willing to be onsite, not available for remote work.

Benefits

• Generous hourly rate of $30 to $45 depending on experience
• Full-time position with 40 hours a week
