About the position

Insight Global is seeking a skilled CAD designer to support one of its largest clients located in the greater Orlando area. This position is ideal for individuals who thrive in a fast-paced environment, as the primary responsibility will involve designing layouts specifically for restaurants. The role will begin with traditional layout designs and will progress to more complex projects as the designer gains experience and familiarity with the requirements. The CAD designer will spend approximately 95% of their time in a corporate office setting, focusing on creating detailed layouts, understanding specifications, and compiling comprehensive manuals. The remaining 5% of the time will be dedicated to fieldwork, where the designer will observe how their drawings are implemented in real-world scenarios, ensuring that the designs translate effectively into physical spaces. Responsibilities

• Design layouts for restaurants using AutoCAD.
• Create traditional and complex floor plans as required.
• Understand and interpret specifications for design projects.
• Compile and organize manuals related to design projects.
• Conduct field visits to observe the implementation of designs in real life.

Requirements

• 3-5+ years of AutoCAD experience.
• Proficient in using computers and CAD software.
• Experience in creating detailed floor plans.
• Ability to handle order lists and document equipment using Excel.
• Understanding of CAD drawings and schematics.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Experience working collaboratively in a team environment.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Bluebeam.
