About the position

The SolidWorks Designer/Draftsperson - Level I position is a direct hire opportunity within the engineering team, focusing on creating and revising detailed technical drawings and 3D models. The role emphasizes compliance with industry standards and customer specifications, contributing to various engineering projects.

Responsibilities

• Create and modify 3D models and technical drawings using SolidWorks.
• Revise existing drawings as needed.
• Implement ISO, ANSI, and ASME standards.
• Ensure designs meet industry standards.
• Participate in the Engineering Change Order (ECO) process.
• Assist in developing design documentation.
• Maintain organized design files.
• Collaborate with engineers for design solutions.
• Support other departments as assigned.
• Ensure documentation accuracy.
• Provide feedback during design reviews.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience in mechanical design or drafting.
• Proficient in SolidWorks (CSWA certification preferred).
• Experience with small and large assemblies.
• Familiarity with configuration management.
• Proficient in MS Office 365.
• Understanding of the ECO process.
• Strong engineering principles knowledge.
• Detail-oriented and efficient team player.
• Effective problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication abilities.
• Friendly, proactive, and drug-free.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with GD&T and SolidWorks Routing.
• Technical writing skills.
