About the position

The CAD Designer at Super Radiator Coils Limited Partnership is responsible for generating models for heat exchangers, ensuring designs meet customer specifications while aligning with manufacturing capabilities. This full-time role involves collaboration with Sales Engineers, other drafters, and Production personnel to enhance the design process and efficiency. The position requires a strong understanding of technical drawings and a mechanical mindset, with a focus on productivity in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Generate models for heat exchangers with a focus on efficiency and throughput.
• Collaborate with Sales Engineers, drafters, and Production personnel to improve design processes.
• Utilize automation tools to create associated Bills of Material and Routers.
• Spend initial time in the factory to learn production methodologies and design foundations.
• Create, read, and interpret technical drawings based on specifications.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED; Associates degree in a related field or drafting/design certification preferred.
• Experience in manufacturing, HVAC, or a related technical background.
• Comprehensive understanding of dimensional measurements and mathematical aptitude.
• Experience with CAD software is preferred.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Good communication skills and a mechanical mindset.
