About the position

The CAD Designer position at Morrison-Maierle Inc. involves creating technical drawings for industrial projects using AutoDesk Plant3D software. Responsibilities

  • Modeling of industrial processes, including piping, valves, pumps, tanks, and other appurtenances related to the process.
  • Creating detailed technical drawings based on sketches, specifications, and other input provided by engineers and/or clients.
  • Translating concepts and ideas into precise, accurate drawings and models using CAD software.
  • Preparing drawings for review, bidding, and construction purposes.
  • Collaborating with engineers, project managers, and other stakeholders to ensure that design requirements and specifications are met and communicated effectively.
  • Gathering, interpreting, and incorporating design development comments from project engineers via redlines.
  • Reviewing drawings and models to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with industry and company standards and project requirements.

Requirements

  • Associate or Technical degree in Drafting or CAD Technology preferred.
  • 5+ years of design experience within Plant3D.
  • Strong technical design skills.
  • Knowledge of design principles and standards.
  • Understanding of survey data post processing into surfaces or TINs.
  • Strong interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with team members and clients.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with AutoDesk Revit.
