About the position

The CAD Designer will play a crucial role in the design and management of product data for a Consumer Goods client known for their professional-grade appliances. This position involves creating and managing Bill of Materials (BOM), developing 3D CAD models, and generating engineering drawings using advanced CAD software. The designer will collaborate with various departments to ensure the accuracy and timeliness of product data releases.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain accurate BOMs for new and existing products.
• Design and create 3D CAD models using Catia and SolidWorks.
• Generate detailed engineering drawings to support manufacturing and assembly processes.
• Manage the release of BOMs, CAD models, and drawings through EC and CN workflows in SmarTeam and 3DExperience.
• Work closely with engineering, manufacturing, and other departments to ensure accurate and timely release of product data.
• Maintain comprehensive records of all design changes and updates.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices in CAD design and data management.

Requirements

• CADD Associate degree, Mechanical Engineering Technology or related field.
• 2-5 years of CAD design and BOM management experience.
• Proficiency in Catia, SolidWorks, SmarTeam and 3DExperience.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in design and documentation.
• Ability to establish priorities, manage multiple complex programs/projects, and rapidly adapt/respond to changes in environment and priorities.
• Advanced organizational, problem solving, and analysis skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Shows strong creativity and innovation.
