About the position

We are seeking a skilled CAD Drafter to join our dynamic team at Glass Inc. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in computer-aided design and drafting, with proficiency in various CAD software. This role involves creating detailed drawings and shop drawings that support engineering and architectural projects, collaborating with engineers and architects to ensure that designs meet specifications and standards.

Responsibilities

• Develop detailed 2D and 3D drawings using AutoCAD and transfer files to AXYZ Panel Builder Cad / Cam software.
• Work in conjunction with CNC operator for projects production.
• Collaborate with project teams to understand design requirements and specifications.
• Revise shop drawings based on feedback from engineers or clients.
• Ensure accuracy and adherence to industry standards in all drafted documents.
• Assist in the preparation of project documentation and reports.
• Perform quality checks on completed designs to ensure compliance with project guidelines.

Requirements

• Proficiency in CAD software such as AutoCAD.
• Experience with 2D animation is a plus.
• Strong understanding of mechanical design principles.
• Ability to draft detailed shop drawings accurately.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with team members.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• A degree or certification in drafting, engineering technology, or a related field is preferred but not mandatory.
