About the position

As a CAD Designer, you will play a crucial role in providing design and drawing support specifically in thermoplastics for various departments including Quote, Sales, Warehouse, Production, and Logistics. This position requires close collaboration with the Design Team and CAD Specialists to create innovative designs that will help the company win new business and expand its market share. The company is a global manufacturer and supplier of high-quality, environmentally friendly road and infrastructure materials, operating in over 70 countries with 19 offices and 6 factories worldwide. Your contributions will directly impact customers such as road administrations, local authorities, private customers, and contractors in the field. In this role, you will be responsible for creating optimized designs and providing drawing support in thermoplastics. You will develop and implement design processes that align with company standards, ensuring that all technical drawings meet the highest quality standards for various clients. Additionally, you will support the implementation of Dynamics 365 for the Design Studio and work closely with production teams to address and resolve any drawing-related Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs). Your leadership will drive the successful operations of the drawing department, and you will serve as a super user for AutoCAD and Dynamics 365, ensuring that the team is utilizing these tools effectively. To succeed in this position, you will need a relevant degree in Technical Drawings, such as AutoCAD, Inventor, or SolidWorks, along with a minimum of 3 years of experience in CAD drawing within a manufacturing environment. Hands-on experience with Water Jet CNC operations is also essential. You should possess a strong understanding of manufacturing business processes and be able to work both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency in English, both written and verbal, is required, and being bilingual is a plus. Strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication abilities, and familiarity with ERP systems, particularly Dynamics 365, will be key to your success in this role.

Responsibilities

  • Create optimizing designs and drawing support in thermoplastic for Quote, Sales, Warehouse, Production, and Logistics.

  • Produce technical drawings to ensure top-quality designs for various clients.
  • Support the implementation of Dynamics 365 for the Design Studio.
  • Collaborate closely with production teams to address and resolve drawing-related Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs).
  • Drive successful operations of the drawing department.
  • Serve as a super user for AutoCAD and Dynamics 365.

Requirements

  • Relevant Degree in Technical Drawings i.e. AutoCAD, Inventor, SolidWorks.
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience with CAD drawing in manufacturing.
  • Hands-on experience with Water Jet CNC operations.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing business processes.
  • Ability to work successfully in both a team environment and independently to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficient in English, both written and verbal. Bi-lingual is a plus.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on quality and efficiency.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience working in local and global support teams.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems, Dynamics 365 experience is a plus.
