About the position

Closets by Design - Milwaukee is seeking detail-oriented CAD drafters who possess a strong knowledge of cabinet construction. The ideal candidate will have experience with Cabinet Vision software and/or designing and building custom cabinets. As a CAD Drafter/Cutlister/Parts Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in transforming our designs and the customer's vision into reality. Your responsibilities will include reviewing sales designs to ensure compliance with the company's product offerings and installation requirements, assembling accurate cutlists that identify all parts and machining requirements, and integrating designs into Cabinet Vision. You will also collaborate with the Production Department to prepare and troubleshoot current jobs while enhancing order processing efficiencies. Responsibilities

• Review sales designs to ensure compliance with the company's product offerings and installation requirements.
• Assemble an accurate cutlist identifying all parts and machining requirements for the components required by the design.
• Integrate designs into Cabinet Vision software.
• Collaborate with the Production Department to prepare and troubleshoot current jobs.
• Increase order processing efficiencies.

Requirements

• Experience with Cabinet Vision or similar drafting software required.
• Intermediate or above experience with Microsoft Excel.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects within deadlines.
• Interpersonal skills and the ability to work as a team as well as independently.
• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• College training preferred.

Nice-to-haves

• Drafting or design experience.
• Woodworking and cabinet making experience.
• Knowledge of various woodworking machines, including CNC.
• Manufacturing experience preferred.
• Previous experience creating cutlists for cabinets, closets, and other organizational units.
