About the position

The CAD Drafter/Designer role focuses on creating and updating engineering drawings and specifications for new and existing products. This position supports the manufacturing process and participates in product development teams to enhance product features and document new products.

Responsibilities

• Creating new and updating existing Solidworks designs
• Providing CAD and drafting support for new and existing products
• Providing prototype to full production for engineering drawings and specifications
• Maintaining engineering drawing databases and supporting the engineering change process
• Participating as a member of the product development team
• Performing component and assembly drawing layouts
• Ensuring documentation standards are met for all new and existing products
• Supporting the engineering change process and tracking change requests
• Maintaining product drawings using SolidWorks PDM system
• Setting up and measuring components for documentation
• Initiating engineering change orders and managing document revisions
• Providing detailing and drawing expertise to product management and external vendors

Requirements

• 3 years of CAD experience (Preferred)
• Ability to relocate to Elyria, OH before starting work

Nice-to-haves

• Knowledge of plastic injection molding tool design preferred but not required
