About the position

As a CAD Designer/Drafter at Matrix Manufacturing, you will be responsible for creating and modifying 2D and 3D designs specifically for the metal fabrication industry. Your role will involve utilizing AutoCAD and Autodesk Inventor to develop accurate drawings, models, and prototypes, ensuring that all designs meet project specifications and industry standards.

Responsibilities

• Develop and modify detailed 2D and 3D CAD drawings using AutoDesk AutoCAD and Inventor.
• Collaborate with design team members to ensure designs meet project requirements and specifications.
• Create technical drawings, schematics, and layouts for manufacturing and assembly.
• Perform design analysis, model validation, and make adjustments based on feedback.
• Maintain and organize CAD files and design documentation.
• Assist in the creation of product prototypes and refine designs based on testing and analysis.
• Troubleshoot design issues and recommend solutions to optimize functionality, cost, and performance.
• Ensure that designs adhere to industry standards and best practices.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a CAD Designer/Drafter with proficiency in AutoDesk AutoCAD and Inventor.
• Strong understanding of engineering design principles and drafting standards.
• Experience in creating 2D and 3D drawings, models, and assemblies.
• Familiarity with manufacturing processes and materials.
• Attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and quality.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or in a team.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Drafting and Design or 1-3 years of experience in a related field.
